Empowering families, fostering innovation, and supporting high-quality options for all students.

The Center for Charter School Excellence (CCSE) is a national technical assistance center funded by the U.S. Department of Education's CSP. Its mission is to support CSP in fulfilling its statutory purpose, providing research-based resources, technical assistance to CSP grantees, and insights for the broader education choice community to aid in the growth of high-quality charter schools across the country.

What We Do

Support for CSP Grantees

CCSE offers tools, technical assistance, and training to help grantees successfully open, replicate, and expand charter schools while accomplishing their grant goals and serving as strong stewards of federal funding.

Resources for the Charter Sector

CCSE provides access to webinars, toolkits, case studies, and data to support the charter sector in expanding the number of high-quality charter schools across the country.

Promotion of Emerging Practices

CCSE highlights effective models and strategies used by CSP-funded charter schools to improve learning outcomes and expand access to high-quality education options.
